About SheetPilot

We solve a problem
we've seen firsthand.

SheetPilot was built after watching Bangalore SME owners spend their mornings manually compiling reports that their data could generate automatically. We decided to fix that.

The problem we couldn't stop thinking about.

We've spent time working alongside product-based businesses across Bangalore — manufacturers, distributors, D2C brands, retail chains. One pattern kept repeating itself: smart, hard-working people spending their mornings doing work that a spreadsheet should do for them.

Every business we visited had Google Sheets. Detailed sheets, carefully built over months, tracking hundreds of SKUs, dozens of customers, thousands of transactions. All the data was there. But nobody had wired up the communication layer.

So every morning, someone — usually the owner or their most trusted ops person — opened the sheets, read the numbers, and manually sent updates to their team. This process took 2–4 hours. And despite the effort, things still got missed. A stock-out nobody caught in time. An overdue invoice buried in row 247. An order status change that never reached the warehouse manager.

We knew the technology to fix this existed. Google Apps Script has been built into Google Workspace since 2009. It can read sheets, send emails, fire alerts, generate PDFs — all for free. The only reason businesses weren't using it is that nobody had built a productized service around it, designed specifically for the way Indian SMEs actually operate.

That's why we built SheetPilot. Not to replace Google Sheets — but to make them intelligent.

"Your Google Sheet already has all your data. We just make it talk to you."

— The SheetPilot tagline, and the simplest description of what we do.
📍
Based in Bangalore, India. We serve businesses within 10–15 km initially, expanding across the city.
🎯
Built for product-based SMEs doing ₹5L–₹1Cr/month with 5–50 employees.
🔒
Your data stays in your Google account. Always. This is non-negotiable for us.
5-day go-live. We've built enough implementations to move fast without cutting corners.
🤝
We accept 4–5 clients/month to ensure every implementation gets our full attention.

Five principles that shape
every implementation we do.

🔒
Your data is yours. Full stop.
We build inside your Google Workspace. Your data never touches an external server. We sign a service agreement that makes this explicit. Data privacy isn't a feature — it's the foundation.
🧰
Meet the business where it is.
We don't ask your team to learn new software, migrate data, or change their workflow. If your team is on Sheets, we work with Sheets. The best automation is the one that nobody notices — except for the results.
💡
Recommend, don't present a menu.
After our audit call, we tell you which plan and add-ons we'd recommend — not a list of options to evaluate. You're hiring us for our expertise. We give you a clear recommendation with our reasoning.
📈
Real ROI, not impressive demos.
Fancy dashboards that nobody checks don't save time. We build the automation your team will actually use and benefit from every single day — daily reports, real-time alerts, payment reminders that work.
🏗️
Build for permanence, not dependence.
Our goal is a setup that runs indefinitely on Google's free infrastructure — not one that requires us to keep the lights on. The ideal outcome is that you never need to call us again (except to add more automation).
🤝
Honesty over salesmanship.
If your business isn't a good fit for SheetPilot — if your sheets are too unstructured to automate, or a different solution would serve you better — we'll tell you that on the audit call, before you spend a rupee.

The SheetPilot approach to
every client engagement.

Twelve implementations in, these are the principles we've found make the difference between automation that runs forever and automation that breaks in month two.

1
Listen before building
We spend the first 30 minutes of every engagement asking questions, not pitching features. We want to understand how your business actually works — not what you think you want automated. The best automation opportunities are often different from what clients expect when they first reach out.
2
One recommendation, not a catalogue
After the audit, we send you one clear recommendation — a specific plan, specific add-ons, specific configuration — with our reasoning. We don't present a menu of options and ask you to figure it out. You're hiring expertise. We provide it.
3
Test with your actual data before going live
We never go live without running a full test using your real sheet data. You see exactly how the report emails look, what the alert emails say, and how the thresholds behave — before a single email goes to your team. You approve it. Then we go live.
4
Make the handover team-proof
Automation that only the founder understands is fragile. We walk through the setup with your key team members — warehouse manager, accountant, ops head — so they understand what to expect and what to do if something looks off. The documentation handover on Pro plans ensures continuity even if your team changes.
5
Limit client intake to maintain quality
We take on 4–5 implementations per month. This isn't an artificial scarcity tactic — it's how we ensure that every implementation gets the attention it deserves. A rushed implementation that breaks in month two is worse than no automation at all.

The businesses SheetPilot
is built for.

We're not a general automation tool. We're a specialized service for a specific type of business — and we're intentionally narrow.

🛍️

D2C & E-Commerce Brands

Brands with 100–2,000 SKUs tracking inventory, orders, returns, and payments across multiple channels. The daily report — sales, stock status, dispatch queue — is often the single biggest time-saver.

🏭

Small Manufacturers

Production-tracking businesses where the gap between the factory floor and management visibility is measured in hours. We close that gap with automated production summaries and raw material alerts.

📦

Distributors & Wholesalers

Businesses managing 200–1,000+ SKUs and 20–100+ retail accounts. Payment follow-up automation and stock movement reports are the highest-value automations for this segment.

🏪

Multi-Outlet Retailers

Chains with 2–5 outlets where the owner wants consolidated visibility without manually combining reports from each location manager. Multi-sheet aggregation is our specialty here.

Who we don't serve well: service businesses (agencies, clinics, consultancies), businesses with fewer than 5 employees, businesses that don't actively use Google Sheets, or businesses looking for custom web applications or mobile apps. If you're unsure, the free audit call will clarify quickly.

How we protect your data
and your interests.

We know you're trusting us with access to your business data. Here's exactly how we handle that responsibility.

🔐 Split Architecture

Lightweight trigger scripts are deployed in your Google Sheet — these are visible and auditable by you. The processing engine lives in our isolated project. Your sheet data is transmitted securely (HTTPS) only for report generation and is never stored on our servers.

📄 Service Agreement

We use a one-page service agreement that explicitly states: (1) all data remains in your Google Workspace, (2) we deliver a configured system, not source code, (3) you have a usage license for the automation, and (4) we are prohibited from sharing your data with third parties.

👁️ Full Transparency

You can open your Sheet's script editor at any time and see exactly what trigger code is running. You can revoke our access after go-live. You own your Sheet, your data, and the configured automation. We don't hold anything hostage.

🚫 No Third-Party Tools

We don't use Zapier, Make (Integromat), or any third-party automation platforms that would route your data through additional services. Everything runs within the Google ecosystem. Your data has no reason to go anywhere else.
